Senior Systems Engineer – Design and Implementation

Job Description: • The Systems Staff Engineer will be responsible for the public safety design and implementation of solutions for Motorola’s ASTRO 25 and adjacent technologies for State and Local government agencies. • Design and implementation of the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul and WAN and CEN networks. • High level of customer and consultant interaction involving customer design reviews, customer witnessed staging and acceptance testing events, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts. • System buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in both lab staging and field environments. • Radio coverage testing, frequency analysis and interference mitigation. • Prepare system documentation, system fleet map, encryption and radio programming templates. • Complete live system cutovers and upgrades. Requirements: • 4 Years Bachelor Degree in an appropriate Engineering Discipline + 3 Years of Experience in Engineering OR 5+ Years Experience in Engineering • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. • Certifications a plus through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar a plus.
