Job Summary

Reporting to the Quality Manager at arenaflex, this role is responsible for providing technical support to our customers, collaborating with the head of Quality Assurance, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality. As a Quality Engineer - Technical Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of arenaflex at our customers' sites, providing expert guidance, resolving quality concerns, and fostering strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively to arenaflex customers in the U.S. to support the Quality Assurance function, providing technical expertise and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the head of Quality Assurance to provide support to customers regarding raw and finished parts, prototypes, and serial parts, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards
  • Support complex trials and new product runs at customers' sites, documenting results, and presenting initial sample parts to ensure a smooth and timely exchange of information
  • Perform analysis of quality concerns using disciplined problem-solving techniques to identify true root causes and initiate corrective actions in cooperation with Quality Assurance
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party activities, such as sorting and rework activities, as necessary
  • Lead projects in accordance with applicable arenaflex guidelines, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Serve as the Voice of the Customer to arenaflex operations, providing feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional customer quality satisfaction, meeting all deadlines, and providing accurate and thorough communication
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Organize, plan, conduct, and document worker-training courses according to customer requirements, ensuring that all training programs are effective and meet our quality standards
  • Compile monthly statistics regarding customer complaints, scrap, and rework, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Computer skills, with experience using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify and resolve quality concerns

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • Experience with iron castings and machining processes
  • Fluency in German or Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with international customers and colleagues
  • Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, and a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices
