As a fast-growing AI automation startup based in Tenino, WA, we're seeking a versatile, multi-talented professional to be a foundational team member.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a unique opportunity to wear multiple hats and grow with us. You'll oversee financial operations, contribute to AI development, drive digital marketing, and manage contracts. As we scale, you'll build and lead your own team, making this an excellent stepping stone to Director/VP level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management & Bookkeeping (40%)
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payment processing
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
• Handle payroll processing and expense tracking
• Manage budgets and cash flow forecasting
• Ensure tax compliance and filing requirements
• Implement and maintain financial systems and controls
AI Development & Technical Support (20%)
• Assist with beginner-level AI programming and prompt engineering
• Customize and optimize AI receptionist workflows
• Test and troubleshoot AI features and integrations
• Document technical processes and create user guides
• Support API integrations and automation workflows
Digital Marketing (25%)
• Develop and execute Google Ads campaigns
• Create and manage YouTube marketing content
• Build social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X)
• Create engaging content showcasing our AI receptionist
• Monitor analytics and optimize campaigns for ROI
• Develop email marketing campaigns and SEO strategies
Contract Management (10%)
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor and client contracts
• Manage contract lifecycle from creation to renewal
• Handle customer agreements and service level agreements (SLAs)
• Coordinate with legal counsel when necessary
Team Building & Management (5% - Growing)
• Participate in recruiting and hiring future team members
• Conduct interviews for finance, marketing, and operations roles
• Onboard and train new employees
• Develop workflows and standard operating procedures
• Build a high-performing operations team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Skills:
• 3-5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (CPA pursuit a plus)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
• Basic understanding of programming concepts and willingness to learn AI tools
• Experience with Google Ads, YouTube advertising, and social media marketing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Technical Requirements:
• Comfortable learning new technologies and AI platforms
• Basic familiarity with APIs, automation tools (Zapier, Make), or no-code platforms
• Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar)
• Understanding of Google Analytics and marketing metrics
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience hiring, training, or managing employees (even in small teams)
• Experience at a startup or fast-paced tech company
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of contract law and legal terminology
• Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce)
• Video editing skills for YouTube content
• Understanding of SEO and content marketing
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience building processes and systems from scratch

CAREER GROWTH PATH
Year 1: Master core responsibilities across finance, marketing, and operations
Year 2: Begin hiring and managing 1-2 team members in key areas

COMPENSATION
• Salary: $48,750 - $67,500 annually (depending on experience and location)
