Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Healthcare Customer Service Associate to join our arenaflex Operations team on a part-time basis. This remote position, with the potential for contract-to-hire, offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive customer and technical support across our products, including patient-provided medical equipment, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing patient downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer support to our patients, addressing both hardware and software issues to ensure seamless operations and minimal downtime
  • Troubleshoot medical devices and patient-facing app issues, completing Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and ordering device replacements as needed
  • Assist with patient onboarding, device setup, and use upon delivery, ensuring a smooth transition to our services
  • Collaborate with internal teams, outside vendors, and support the deployment and return of hardware, ensuring arenaflex's equipment is in optimal condition and ready for operational use
  • Methodically document technical issues, resolutions, and processes to foster knowledge sharing and future reference
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, constantly evolving digital healthcare environment
  • Cross-collaborate with arenaflex's Third Party Logistics (3PL) and device support vendor to facilitate top-tier patient support for device troubleshooting

Essential Qualifications

  • A proven track record of providing exceptional customer support in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and the protection of sensitive health information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and team members, including the ability to manage inbound and outbound calls effectively and professionally
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, constantly evolving digital healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience conducting customer support calls with patients
  • Practical experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, ZenDesk, Notion, and Microsoft Excel, showcasing familiarity with popular workplace platforms
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist our patients with technical issues
  • Understanding of common medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated experience working with patients with disabilities, including those who are hard of hearing or seeing
  • Experience working with a variety of demographics, chronic illnesses, and individuals without technical aptitude
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills that translate into quick and efficient resolutions
