Skills
• EEC qualification for Teacher position.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
• Be knowledgeable of program philosophy, regulations, and performance standards (EEC, NAEYC, Head Start, QRIS).
• Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
• Support classroom team in planning, preparing, and implementing learning experiences that encourage growth and development.
• Keep accurate data and records using tools like TSG or other assessment methods.
• Participate in staff development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Maintain strong communication with the lead teacher and/or supervisor.
• Observe and assess children’s behavior to plan individualized learning strategies and interventions.
• Ensure classroom needs are met by assessing equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Participate in fire drills and ensure safety equipment is checked regularly.
• Uphold health and safety policies to provide a safe learning space.
• Attend required staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
• Build positive relationships with families through communication, conferences, home visits, and volunteer opportunities.
• Actively participate in engagement team meetings and maintain confidentiality as required.
Qualifications
• EEC qualification for Teacher position.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Effective communication abilities.
Education Requirements
• Relevant education credentials as required by EEC regulations.
Education Requirements Credential Category
• Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Experience Requirements
• Experience working in early childhood education settings preferred.
• Familiarity with EEC, NAEYC, and Head Start standards is beneficial.
