Role reputed company Incumbent serves as a Medical Record Technician (reputed company) Outpatient and Inpatient in the Consolidated Coding reputed company at Veteran Integrated Service Network (VISN 20) Alaska, Boise, reputed company, and Washington. • Assigns codes to documented patient care encounters (inpatient and outpatient) for one or more specialty and subspecialty health care services provided by the VAMC. • Has knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, diseases, treatments, diagnostic tests, and medications to ensure reputed company reputed company selection. • Selects and assigns codes from the reputed company version of one or more coding systems including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS. • Adheres to accepted coding practices, guidelines, and conventions for ethical, accurate, and complete coding. • Monitors regulatory and policy requirements affecting coded information for the full reputed company of services provided by the VAMC. • Reviews health record documentation to reputed company reputed company required medical, surgical, ancillary, demographic, reputed company, and administrative data. • Assists facility staff with basic documentation requirements to reflect the patient care provided. • Ensures provider documentation supports the diagnoses and procedures coded. • Utilizes the facility computer system and software applications to reputed company, reputed company, record, and reputed company data to the national VA database. • Uses a reputed company of computer applications in day-to-day activities, such as reputed company, reputed company, Word, and reputed company. • Assists in orienting and instructing new personnel and/or reputed company from affiliated health information or medical record technology programs. • Works reputed company reputed company environment; supports peers in meeting goals and deadlines.
