About the Role We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Director of Insights, Analytics & Data Science to lead the transformation of enterprise and product telemetry data into actionable insights that enable smarter, data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this senior leadership role, you will drive measurable value from data and telemetry across the enterprise by defining and executing a modern analytics strategy. You will align stakeholders, scale advanced analytics and data science capabilities, and deliver insights that improve product performance, operational efficiency, customer experience, and strategic outcomes. As the senior leader of Insights, Analytics & Data Science, you will serve as a trusted advisor to executive and cross-functional leaders, ensuring telemetry-driven insights translate into tangible business impact. This role requires a strong blend of strategic vision, technical depth, and leadership in a complex, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Define and implement the enterprise vision, strategy, and operating model for Insights, Analytics, and Data Science, with a strong emphasis on telemetry-driven decision-making. Build and oversee a cohesive analytics strategy for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from products, platforms, and enterprise systems. Partner with executive and cross-functional leaders (Product, Engineering, Operations, GTM) to embed insights into strategic decisions and operational execution. Ensure analytics and data science initiatives directly contribute to measurable business outcomes, including product adoption, operational excellence, and customer engagement. Data Analytics & Insight Generation Lead the design and operationalization of advanced analytics capabilities, including real-time monitoring, diagnostics, trend analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling. Define and standardize telemetry KPIs and success metrics, ensuring alignment and consistency across departments. Establish experimentation and hypothesis-testing frameworks to drive continuous learning and performance improvement. Drive the adoption of scalable analytics tools, platforms, and decision-support systems. Stakeholder Partnership & Influence Act as an enterprise advocate for insights, analytics, and data science across leadership teams. Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations tailored to senior stakeholders. Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure telemetry instrumentation and data capture align with business and analytics needs. Foster strong collaboration between analytics, data engineering, and business teams to accelerate impact. Requirements: Education & Experience 20+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science, with strong exposure to telemetry data and its application in driving business outcomes. Proven senior leadership experience, including building and leading high-performing analytics or data science teams. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional leaders at Senior Director, VP, or executive levels. Deep expertise in telemetry ecosystems (instrumentation, real-time analytics, user behavior, system performance, operational metrics). Strong experience designing and deploying analytics pipelines, dashboards, and decision-support systems. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). The annual base pay for this position is: $248,000.00 - $372,000.00 F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change. You may also be offered incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
