Your daily responsibilities may vary by department, but you'll spend most of your time: * **Listening to Customers**: Hear their concerns and answer their questions with empathy and expertise. * **Answering Questions**: Provide accurate and helpful information about our products and services. * **Organizing Merchandise**: Ensure our stores are well-stocked and visually appealing. * **Loading Merchandise**: Occasionally load merchandise to help customers get what they need. * **Ensuring Customer Needs**: Make sure all customer needs are met, from finding the right product to resolving any issues. **Customer Service Associates** work in one of the following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets: * **Appliances** * **Cabinets** * **Flooring** * **Live Nursery** * **Inside Garden** * **Hardware** * **Tools** * **Millwork** * **Building Materials** * **Plumbing** * **Electrical** * **Paint** * **Home Décor** * **Tool Rental** * **Pro Services** **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for: * **Welcoming Customers**: Greet customers with a smile and a friendly demeanor. * **Assisting Customers**: Help customers find and select products, answer questions, and resolve any issues. * **Down Stocking Merchandise**: Look for empty areas on shelves and replenish supplies to ensure our stores are well-stocked. * **Processing Orders**: Accurately process orders and deliveries to ensure customers receive merchandise as expected and on time. * **Cross-Functional Training**: Train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service. * **Preparing Merchandise**: Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds). * **Guiding Customers**: Guide customers through shopping or checkout. * **Completing Duties**: Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor. **Minimum Qualifications** To be considered for this role, you'll need: * **6 Months Experience**: Using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information. * **6 Months Experience**: Using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets. * **Basic Arithmetic**: Performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction). * **Reading and Writing**: Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic. * **Physical Abilities**: Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. * **Lifting**: Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, we prefer candidates with: * **6 Months of Retail and/or Customer Service Experience**: Proven experience in retail and/or customer service. * **Bi-Lingual Skills**: Fluency in multiple languages. * **Trade Certification**: Certification in a trade related to your department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials). **Lowes Commitment to Growth and Teamwork** At arenaflex, we're committed to growth and teamwork, both in the community and in our stores. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment. **Lifting Methods** Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
