The Data Analyst Intern supports the National Center of Development Operations team in turning data into insights that help advance our mission. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data and wants to see how analysis informs real-world decisions in fundraising, programs, or community impact. Internship Overview: • Time Commitment: 25 hours per week • Internship Duration: 5/18/26-8/21/26 • Location: Remote position • Salary: $23.00 per hour Internship Outcomes: Individuals participating in the internship program are provided with an opportunity to: • Gain important and practical job skills to be successful in a non-profit environment. • Opportunity to explore a career-path with a reputable voluntary health/service organization. • Complete an internship that enriches your academic and professional resume as well as enriching your personal life by making a difference in the lives of others. Responsibilities Tasks could include things like the following: • Retrieving, processing, and analyzing program data • Clean, organize, and validate datasets related to programs, donors, or operations • Build reports and dashboards using Excel and Tableau • Assist with exploratory analysis to identify trends in participation, fundraising, or outcomes • Document data sources and definitions to improve data clarity • Help present findings to cross-functional teams in clear, visual formats for non‑technical audiences Qualifications • Senior-level undergraduate students or graduate students in data science, computer science, statistics, math, economics, or related fields. • Demonstrated skill in building dashboards in Tableau. • Exposure to SQL or Python/R preferred. • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles to create intuitive and visually appealing data visualizations. • In-depth knowledge of data analysis or statistical analysis methodologies preferred. • Excellent proficiency in Excel. • Attention to detail and curiosity. • Clear written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to deal professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects and programs from inception through completion. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities. • Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. • Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi Connection. • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 8:30am-5pm Central. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
