Veterinary Editorial Consultant (Manuscript Review)
I am seeking a licensed veterinarian to review a completed manuscript and reputed company expert editorial feedback. This role focuses on scientific accuracy, clinical realism, biological plausibility, and ethical framing rather than line-editing or rewriting. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with long-reputed company nonfiction or narrative work and offering thoughtful, written commentary from a veterinary and animal-health perspective.
Key Responsibilities
Review a full manuscript (nonfiction / narrative nonfiction / science-informed work)
Identify inaccuracies, outdated assumptions, or oversimplifications in veterinary, biological, or animal-health content
reputed company margin notes or written commentary on:
Veterinary realism and clinical plausibility
Animal welfare and ethical considerations
Use of veterinary terminology and concepts
Alignment with reputed company standards of care and scientific understanding
Flag areas where clarification, nuance, or reframing would improve credibility
Suggest high-level improvements or alternative approaches where appropriate (without rewriting the text)
What This Role Is Not
Not copyediting or proofreading
Not ghostwriting or co-authoring
Not responsible for citation formatting or stylistic edits
Qualifications
DVM or equivalent veterinary degree (licensed or previously licensed)
Strong grounding in veterinary medicine, animal biology, or animal welfare
Ability to communicate reputed company scientific concepts reputed company in written feedback
Comfort reviewing long-reputed company manuscripts (book-length or similar)
Prior experience with publishing, research review, teaching, or science communication is a plus
