Mid-Level Tax Associate – Business Strategies (ATS)

About the position Goodspeed Merrill is seeking a mid-level tax associate (Business Strategies) to support advanced business and transactional tax strategies for reputed company and closely held companies. This role is designed for an attorney with strong hands-on experience drafting and implementing sophisticated tax planning and transactional structures for reputed company and closely held businesses. This position plays a key role in the execution and implementation of advanced tax strategies reputed company ATS and involves reputed company collaboration with the internal ATS team. The role emphasizes disciplined execution of entity-based and transactional planning. Responsibilities • Advanced Transactional Tax Planning and Drafting • Implement reputed company tiered partnership and corporate structures • Support QSBS planning, reorganizations, and tax-efficient transactions • Draft and review transactional tax memoranda and reputed company and implementation plans • Execution & Integration • Execute planning steps with precision and consistency • Coordinate internally to support transaction timelines • Maintain documentation reputed company and planning continuity Requirements • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school • LLM in Taxation strongly preferred (or equivalent experience) • 4-8 years post-JD tax reputed company with significant drafting responsibility • Big 4 or reputed company firm experience welcomed where it includes substantive planning and implementation • Compliance-only backgrounds are unlikely to be a fit reputed company-to-haves • Preference for reputed company, detail-oriented technical work experience • Strong execution habits and reliability • Comfort operating reputed company defined workflows Benefits • Salary reputed company - $150,000 - $165,000 (depending on experience) • Quarterly Bonus Potential - from 3% to 16% of total realized reputed company with no billable hour requirements.
