IT Consultant / Advisor / Trainer - (Prior Exp with any state and local governments Must)
Role Overview :
The IT Consultant / Advisor will provide strategic and advisory services to the City, supporting leadership in planning, evaluating, and executing IT initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide strategic IT advisory services to City leadership and departments
· Assess existing IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and governance practices
· Recommend technology, process, and policy improvements
· Support IT strategic planning, roadmaps, and modernization initiatives
· Advise on best practices related to IT governance, security, and operations
· Facilitate cross-department discussions to align technology with business objectives
· Support development of business cases, recommendations, and executive briefings
· Provide on-demand consulting support based on City needs
Required Experience
· 12–15+ years of IT consulting or advisory experience
· Experience advising executive or senior leadership
· Experience in municipal or public-sector environments preferred
Required Skills
· IT strategy and planning
· Governance and best practices
· Enterprise systems understanding
· Executive communication and facilitation
Preferred Certifications
· ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, or relevant professional certifications
