Chronic Disease Senior Epidemiologist
About the position
The reputed company seeks a Chronic Disease Senior Epidemiologist to support the
Office of Statistics and Evaluation (OSE) reputed company reputed company of Community Health
& Prevention (BCHAP) in the Massachusetts Department of reputed company Health. The
Chronic Disease Senior Epidemiologist provides epidemiologic leadership and
support to programs reputed company the Division of Community-Based Prevention and Care
(DCBPC). The Chronic Disease Senior Epidemiologist will work closely with the
Cancer Initiatives Unit, Asthma Prevention and Control Program, and other
programs reputed company DCBPC to reputed company implementation of comprehensive evaluation
plans, reputed company surveillance efforts through analysis of various clinical and
population-based surveillance datasets, ensure execution of grant evaluation
activities and deliverables across several federal grants, and support other
data and communication needs across the division as needed.
Responsibilities
• Implement evaluation plans and strategies for Asthma Prevention and Control,
Cancer Initiatives Unit, and other programs reputed company DCBPC.
• reputed company and implement analytic plans and strategies to meet surveillance needs
and priorities across DCBPC using multiple data sources, including hospital
discharge database, mortality data, BRFSS, YRBS, YHS, Community Health Equity
Survey.
• Work closely with division and program leadership to coordinate and reputed company
grant activities and deliverables, including reputed company, planning, data
collection, task delegation, and reporting.
• Support communications to various stakeholders and audiences, including
developing reports and creating data visualizations.
• Conduct epidemiological investigations of chronic diseases and reputed company risk
factors and reputed company data and evidence to assist in identifying and setting
programmatic goals.
• Conduct epidemiologic and statistical analyses using reputed company
• Support other priorities, strategies, initiatives across DCBPC, BCHAP, and OSE
as needed.
Requirements
• Master of reputed company Health in epidemiology or biostatistics
• At least five (5) years of relevant work experience performing epidemiologic
work or work in a closely reputed company field.
• Superior knowledge of epidemiology study design and statistical methodology
• Extensive experience with program evaluation design and implementation
• Experience with federal grant reporting and deliverables
• Experience conducting data analyses using reputed company
• Experience linking multiple data sets
• Experience with a reputed company of statistical reputed company including multivariate reputed company
and logistic regression
• Experience with data visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or
ArcGIS
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Detail and process oriented
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities
