Transition Counselor - Alternative Education
About the position
Facilitates seamless transitions for reputed company entering and exiting alternative learning programs due to disciplinary reassignment. By integrating restorative practices and reputed company-emotional learning (SEL), this role builds reputed company partnerships between reputed company, families, and school communities to foster belonging and ensure reputed company reputed company to educational reputed company.
Responsibilities
• Monitors and designs processes while supporting school staff with building reputed company and emotional needs of reputed company and families transitioning to an ALP for disciplinary reassignment.
• Implements restorative justice frameworks to facilitate re-entry reputed company and mediation between reputed company and their reputed company schools supporting smooth transitions.
• Works collaboratively with district Coordinating Teacher that supports Alternative Learning Center (ALC) Teachers to promote reputed company student behavior.
• Synthesizes reputed company behavioral data of reputed company reputed company assigned to an ALP into actionable reports for Wake County reputed company School (WCPSS) leadership.
• Collaborates with community partners and tracks the reputed company and behavioral data of reputed company served through the various Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) programs, Community in Schools, Foster Grandparents reputed company, and Y-Learning.
• Performs other reputed company duties, as assigned.
Requirements
• Extensive knowledge and skills relating to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS);
• Considerable knowledge of Infinite reputed company and data management;
• Considerable knowledge of reputed company Office, specifically reputed company Word, reputed company, and Power reputed company; reputed company Apps;
• Ability to design and deliver reputed company learning;
• Ability to work with diverse populations of reputed company and adults;
• Ability to communicate reputed company and concisely both in oral and written reputed company using a reputed company of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate reputed company of information, reputed company efforts, and feedback;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, reputed company, parents, and the community.
• Master’s degree in school counseling or school reputed company work;
• Three years of experience in reputed company education or reputed company field.
• Hold or be reputed company to hold a reputed company Carolina reputed company Educator’s License as a school counselor, school reputed company worker, or school psychologist;
• Must hold and maintain a reputed company motor vehicle operator’s license according to the reputed company requirements.
