Senior Fullstack JavaScript Developer, Nuxt.js, Node.js
Job Description:
• Architect and build high-performance web applications using Nuxt.js (Vue.js) on the client side and Node.js on the server side.
• Leverage Nuxt.js for Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to ensure optimal SEO performance and fast load times.
• Collaborate on maintaining and migrating legacy backend services written in PHP to our modern stack.
• Drive the evolution of our data layer by moving from traditional REST to a unified GraphQL API.
• Proactively identify opportunities to integrate new technologies (including AI tools) to improve developer velocity or product features.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality and team growth.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Frontend Mastery: Deep expertise in Vue.js and the Nuxt.js framework (lifecycle, middleware, plugins, and Pinia/Vuex).
• Backend Expertise: Strong commercial experience with Node.js environments.
• Database Skills: Proficiency with SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Core JS: Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and asynchronous programming.
• Testing: Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright, or Vitest.
• Good to Have: PHP Proficiency: Ability to read, debug, and maintain PHP code.
• Experience with AI Assisted Development AI Tooling: Proficient knowledge of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Windsurf, and Copilot.
• Advanced Prompting: Experience with architecture prompting to design scalable systems and clean code structures.
• Tool Integration: Usage of Model Context Protocols (MCPs) to enhance development workflows.
• Efficiency: Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools efficiently to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Bonus Skills (The "X-Factor"): Cloud Infrastructure (GCP): Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, or BigQuery).
• AI & LLMs: Experience integrating Google Gemini, OpenAI, or other LLMs into production applications.
• Python: Proficiency in Python for backend scripting, data processing, or AI/ML workloads.
• GraphQL: Experience designing schemas and consuming GraphQL APIs.
• EdTech Experience: Previous work in education technology or high-traffic consumer platforms.
