Qualifications
General Position Summary
The Senior Demand Planner is a key role responsible for leading the development, alignment, and continuous improvement of the company’s demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This position owns the creation of a consensus-driven Demand Plan that balances commercial objectives with operational capabilities and supports leadership decision-making. The role partners closely with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Materials Management, and Distribution to translate market intelligence, historical data, and strategic initiatives into accurate, actionable demand forecasts
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
• *
• Lead, and actively manage/administer, the company’s Executive S&OP process, to reconcile the company’s single integrated Sales and Operations Plan.
• Develop monthly calendarized meeting schedule, agendas, and deliverables, for each respective component in the process. Hold stakeholders accountable for timely development and sign off of Product Plan, Demand Plan, Supply Plan, Collaborative S&OP, and administer executive review.
• Drive accountability and alignment across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
• Consult collaboratively with, and support, global team members in Sales, Product Management & Innovation, Marketing, Materials Management, and Inventory Management, developing KPI’s and goal of overall process
• Based on historical data and trends, prepare the Statistical Rough-Cut Demand Forecast researching anomalies in forecasts to trends, plans and/or expectations
• Develop and apply accurate forecasting algorithms in production and refinement of the demand forecast. Serve as a power user of demand planning and forecasting systems.
• Analyze trend and historical sales data, along with intelligence derived from interaction with the sales, marketing, and product teams, to develop accurate and predictable forecasts of SKU demand, average selling prices, and revenue
• Monitors forecast accuracy, bias, and variance to provide insights and recommendations. Develop regular forecast variance performance reports and distribute them to stakeholders.
• Propose the unconstrained Demand Forecast, and lead the generation of consensus amongst the Sales and Product Management teams
• Participate, along with Materials Management, in the maintenance and management of forecasting and demand planning tools
• Explore and evaluate potential alternative demand planning tools that more adequately support the Executive S&OP demand planning activities and results
• In cooperation with Product Management leadership, work to integrate the S&OP Process with Product Life Cycle Management (NPI, Maturity, EOL), supporting the development and refinement of the demand planning process
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Specific Job Requirements

• Proficiency with systems and data to support forecasts and reporting for sales, inventory and product management
• Strong capability for data analysis, including knowledge of database concepts, advanced Excel and Access skills, and experience mining data from multiple sources
• High-level problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong understanding/demonstrated ability to learn product families
• Self-motivated and success oriented
• Natural curiosity and internal drive to understand interrelationships and impacts of/on business operations
• Ability to communicate effectively across broad levels of the organization, including international employees and members of department leadership
• Strong presentation skills
• Role is primarily remote, but some travel will be required for in person collaborative meetings (10 - 25%)
Education and Experience Requirements
• *
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) preferred, with concentration in business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience in forecasting, demand management, or product portfolio management
• Previous contribution to a successful Executive S&OP process
• Commercial fitness industry experience and/or familiarity with commercial gym equipment a plus
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel a must)
• Working familiarity with financial systems and data (Oracle), as well as customer relationship management (CRM) systems (Salesforce.com)
• Expertise in forecasting and S&OP processes, including enabling tools (Atlas)
• Experience in coordinating SKU and revenue forecasts with a diverse sales organization
• Comfort interacting with global team members across various demand-side functions, including department leaders
