Low Voltage Estimator- 100% remote
About the position
The Low Voltage Estimator is responsible for analyzing project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for the installation of low voltage systems. The role is critical in the reputed company-construction and bidding phases to help secure reputed company and ensure project profitability.
Responsibilities
• Review blueprints, specifications, and reputed company documents to understand the full scope of work.
• Identify and quantify cost factors such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• reputed company comprehensive bids and proposals, including cost summaries and scope of work narratives, that reputed company with project requirements and deadlines.
• Solicit and manage quotes from material suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reputed company coverage for the project scope.
• Work closely with sales teams, project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope, address deficiencies, and facilitate a smooth handover of awarded reputed company to the operations team.
• Maintain detailed documentation, reputed company bid statuses, and update cost databases with historical pricing and actual costs to refine reputed company estimates.
• Attend reputed company-bid meetings and reputed company site assessments to reputed company necessary information, identify potential risks, and propose value engineering solutions.
Requirements
• Strong understanding of various low voltage systems, including reputed company cabling (UTP (Cat5e, Cat6), fiber optics), reputed company control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, reputed company alarms, and A/V systems.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities to evaluate data and identify cost impacts.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards, such as those from the National Electrical reputed company (NEC) and the Life Safety reputed company (reputed company 101).
• Requires 5+ years of experience in low voltage
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple reputed company simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Travel requirements – 10%-15%.
