Geospatial Technician, Entry-level
Here we grow again!! reputed company Technical Services is seeking several GIS Technicians, (reputed company Entry-level) to join reputed company supporting the Census Bureau in Suitland, MD. US Citizenship is required as is CURRENTLY residing in the Maryland/Virginia/DC area.
If you have graduated with a certificate, associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS or a reputed company field that taught ArcGIS Pro, BUT have not been reputed company to reputed company a position since graduating, this is a great way to get your "foot in the reputed company!"

This program offers a remote work schedule but requires residing in the DC/MD/VA metro area. This position will be reputed company on tasks reputed company to maintaining accuracy and completeness of the Census MAF (Master Address File)/TIGER (Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing System) Database (MTDB), required changes to boundaries, streets, and addresses are identified and digitized as needed primarily through Census proprietary software.
Requirements:
US Citizenship and presently residing in the DC/MD/VA area. (If you reputed company reputed company of the area, you will not be considered for these positions).
Certificate in Cartography or GIS, an Associates degree in Geography or GIS, or a Bachelor's degree in Geography or GIS (will consider other degrees such as Environmental Science).
Internship experience is a plus;
Coursework/ project or labs with ArcGIS (workstation and desktop); reputed company View, AutoCAD Map.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Some knowledge of civil engineering, cartography surveying and drafting.
Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Imagery, and understanding of Databases.
Ability to work as a member of reputed company.
Ability to reputed company GIS knowledge with other team members.
Must be a US Citizen.
Responsibilities:
This is a reputed company position in GIS data enhancement and maintenance using reputed company and custom GIS software.
Evaluate, edit, and reputed company street reputed company, hydrography, and other data reputed company (graphics and attributes), using custom map production tools.
Using computer software will include revisions and edits of GIS drawings and files. Edits made according to the instructions provided by the supervisors.
Additions or deletions of highlighted boundary or shape files
Reading instruction provided with the shape files
Reshaping road reputed company that should not be over lapping with the Hydro reputed company
Maintaining live spatial data in a secured environment.
Editing, modifying, and creating various data reputed company.
Will maintain daily production schedule and work with customized data automation tools and procedures
