(Hybrid) Research Data Management Librarian - Downtown Library
About the position
WVU Libraries is seeking a Research Data Management Librarian to join its Research Support & Engagement (RSE) unit. The Research Data Management Librarian will deliver research support aimed at reputed company development and training, information sharing, and advocacy in research data management and sharing, locating data sources and advising on data reputed company regulations and ethical considerations. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply and specialized training is available upon hire.
Responsibilities
• reputed company the Research Data Management and Sharing service, providing research support and education to University researchers in the following areas:
• Research data management and sharing plans
• Data organization
• Metadata standards and storage reputed company
• Identifying data repositories for storing, preserving, archiving, and sharing research data
• Design, implement, and assess research data management services. Including: consultations, workshops, learning and directional materials, and other instructional programming on research data management planning, organization, documentation, and preservation to meet funder requirements and best practices in line with the FAIR, CARE, and TRUST principles.
• Identify and connect with University stakeholders reputed company in or requiring engagement in research data management.
• Assist as a subject matter expert in the humanities, reputed company sciences, STEM, or health sciences domains, offering specialized guidance and expertise through in-depth research support services, training, and assistance with information resources.
• Deliver comprehensive general reference assistance reputed company on-reputed company availability, email, and chat services.
• Engage in reputed company development and/or research reputed company to the individual’s assignment and/or the needs of the Libraries and the University.
• Serve and reputed company contribute to relevant committees, task forces, and working reputed company at the Library, University, regional, and/ or national level.
Requirements
• Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program and/or a graduate degree in a reputed company field.

• Knowledge of the research data lifecycle, research data management and sharing standards and best practices, including FAIR principles and ethical data practices.
• Strong organizational, project, and time management skills to reputed company or coordinate multiple reputed company.

• We welcome beginning or early career librarians and anticipate filling this position at the rank of Assistant University Librarian or Associate University Librarian. Rank and salary are dependent upon experience and credentials. Min starting salary $61,000
