: Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax preparation, and financial software, with excellent analysis skills and customer service abilities. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, providing clients with accurate and compliant tax solutions, and supporting overall financial operations within our firm. Prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is highly valued, along with proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage. The Tax Preparer will play a vital role in ensuring clients' financial health through precise tax planning and preparation. We’re especially seeking bilingual applicants (English & Spanish) who can assist our growing Hispanic client base. While being bilingual is not required, it is highly recommended, as bilingual team members may be eligible for additional bonuses and client assignments. Responsibilities • Prepare accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations. • Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with current regulations. • Utilize accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to gather data and generate reports. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices. • Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes. • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and promptly. • Support marketing efforts to attract new clients through community engagement and professional networking. • Perform bookkeeping tasks as needed to support overall client financial management. • Collaborate with team members on complex tax issues requiring technical accounting expertise. Experience • Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or corporate accounting is preferred. • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software platforms. • Strong understanding of financial concepts, analysis skills, and math proficiency. • Experience with bookkeeping, technical accounting, and 10 key typing skills is advantageous. • Background in financial sales or marketing can be beneficial for client engagement efforts. • Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to analyze complex financial data are essential for success in this role.
