Automation Engineer (n8n + Supabase) – Complete & Harden Cybersecurity MVP for Go-Live

OVERVIEW We are finalizing an MVP for Kovian, an AI-driven cybersecurity & compliance platform for small businesses. Chapters 1–7 of the MVP Build Guide are already implemented. We are now hiring a senior-level automation / systems engineer to: -Complete Chapters 8 & 9 -Perform full QC on all workflows -Conduct end-to-end system testing -Provide written confirmation that the system is ready to onboard real clients This is not a greenfield build. The architecture exists and functions conceptually. The engagement is focused on hardening, validation, and production readiness. TECH STACK n8n (core automation engine) Supabase (Postgres + Row-Level Security) Softr (client portal) Slack (alerting) OpenAI (AI summaries) NinjaOne (endpoint events) Acronis (backup events – partially scaffolded) Cloudflare Microsoft 365 Strong experience with n8n + Supabase together in production environments is required. SCOPE OF WORK Phase 1 – Complete Chapters 8 & 9 Including: -Supabase RLS hardening (remove permissive policies) -Restrict write operations to service role only -Validate strict client-level data isolation -Add workflow retry logic and resilience in n8n -Improve error handling where needed -Complete Acronis → n8n live webhook integration -Validate architecture alignment with M365 and Cloudflare configuration (architecture review only, no tenant deployment required) -Confirm tier-ready structure Phase 2 – Full Workflow QC -Review all existing n8n workflows -Validate normalization logic -Confirm severity classification logic -Identify edge cases and failure points -Apply improvements as needed -Ensure workflows are production-grade and stable Phase 3 – End-to-End Testing Simulate real-world scenarios including: -Critical events -Moderate events -Informational events -Backup failures and successes Validate: -Correct database storage -Proper Slack alert behavior -AI summaries generate correctly -Weekly reports compile reliably -Client portal displays correct, isolated data -No cross-client data leakage DELIVERABLES Written QC summary (issues found + fixes applied) Testing summary (scenarios executed + outcomes) List of workflow improvement recommendations Explicit confirmation that the system is ready to onboard live clients IDEAL CANDIDATE -Strong production experience with n8n -Deep understanding of Postgres / Supabase RLS -Comfortable auditing and improving existing systems -Experience hardening automation workflows -Systems thinker — not just task executor PLEASE INCLUDE: -Examples of n8n projects you have hardened -Experience with Supabase RLS -Confirmation you are comfortable validating and certifying production readiness Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
