[Remote] VP Finance and Accounting | High-Growth Fintech | Remote | $250k–$300k + Bonus + Equity

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harmonic Finance™ is a rapidly scaling fintech company focused on expanding access to modern financial tools for hourly and frontline workers. The VP of Finance and Accounting will oversee the entire controllership function, ensuring compliance, financial reporting, and operational finance processes while partnering with executive leadership to support growth strategy and capital allocation. Responsibilities • Own the end-to-end controllership function, including month-end close, GAAP financial reporting, audits, and internal controls • Partner with FP&A on forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling to support strategic decisions • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, tax, and credit facility requirements • Develop, document, and continuously improve finance processes, controls, and operational efficiency • Manage cash, liquidity, and working capital planning in partnership with the executive team • Support financial analysis related to new embedded B2B product rollouts, platform partnerships, and marketplace distribution models • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance and accounting team • Serve as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations that drive business growth Skills • Proven experience as a Controller or VP of Finance in a tech startup or high-growth environment • Demonstrated ownership of full controllership function, including financial reporting, audits, and internal controls • Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting processes, and regulatory compliance • Experience leading and developing finance teams in a fast-scaling environment • Comfort operating in a hands-on, entrepreneurial setting with high visibility to executive leadership • Experience implementing financial systems and processes to enable growth • Familiarity with fintech, SaaS, embedded finance, payroll integrations, or payments businesses • Exposure to strategic initiatives like M&A, new product launches, integrations, or scale-phase operations Benefits • Bonus • Equity Company Overview • Harmonic is a B Corp Recruitment & Executive Search company that partners with some of the fastest growing start-ups, scale-ups, and entrepreneur-led organisations worldwide.
