Reading and Math Tutor

We are looking for a passionate, patient, and engaging Online Reading and Math Tutor to help students of various ages develop strong reading and math skills through hands-on, interactive learning. Tutors will deliver personalized virtual instruction that builds confidence, strengthens foundational skills, and makes learning meaningful and engaging. Reading instruction must focus on hands-on learning strategies that support comprehension, fluency, phonics, vocabulary, and critical thinking. Math instruction must also be hands-on, using visual models, manipulatives, and interactive problem-solving strategies to help students deeply understand math concepts. Key Responsibilities • Conduct live online tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s reading and/or math level and learning needs • Provide hands-on reading instruction using phonics activities, interactive reading exercises, discussion, and comprehension strategies • Provide hands-on math instruction using visual models, virtual manipulatives, real-world problem solving, and interactive math activities • Assess student abilities and track progress over time • Provide personalized feedback to build student confidence and independence • Recommend appropriate reading materials and math practice based on student needs and interests • Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and learning strategies • Effectively utilize online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, and educational platforms Required Qualifications • Must be a licensed teacher • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field • Must reside in the United States • Must be available during daytime hours (U.S. time zones) • Experience teaching or tutoring students online • Strong understanding of reading development and math concept development • Excellent communication skills and patience when working with learners at different levels • Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning styles Work Schedule and Compensation • Flexible schedule based on student availability (daytime hours required) • Competitive hourly or session-based pay If you are passionate about hands-on learning and helping students grow into confident readers and mathematicians, we would love to hear from you.
