Product Designer – AI / LLM-Powered SaaS Application - Contract to Hire

We are building SaaS products where AI and LLMs are embedded directly into core workflows, not added as surface-level features. We are looking for a Product Designer who has experience designing dashboards for SaaS applications powered by AI or LLMs. This role focuses on designing operational dashboards where users review, approve, correct, and act on AI outputs. This is not a graphic design role This is not a prompt engineering role This is a product and system-oriented design role --- What You Will Work On • Design admin and member dashboards for AI-powered SaaS products • Translate AI-assisted workflows into clear, usable interfaces • Design screens where AI outputs are reviewed, edited, or rejected • Ensure users understand why the AI produced a result • Design for trust, clarity, and human control --- Key Responsibilities • Design end-to-end dashboard experiences for AI-powered workflows • Define information hierarchy for data-heavy interfaces • Present AI suggestions, system decisions, and required human actions • Design for AI states such as idle, processing, needs review, error, and feedback applied • Anticipate edge cases and failure scenarios • Deliver wireframes and mockups that engineering teams can build without ambiguity --- What We Are Looking For • Proven experience designing SaaS dashboards • Experience working on AI or LLM-powered products • Strong understanding of workflow-based UX and decision support systems • Comfort designing interfaces where AI can be wrong • Ability to clearly explain design decisions --- What We Are NOT Looking For • Pure visual or branding designers • Designers without real SaaS experience • Designers who treat AI as a black box • Marketing website designers Final Note If your experience does not include real SaaS dashboards or AI-assisted workflows, this role may not be a fit.
