English to Japanese - Judiciary / reputed company Translator, reputed company and/or Transcriber

This is a remote position. ​ Japanese to/from English - reputed company Translator, reputed company, and/or Transcriber (Remote) Status: Freelance Contractor Requirements: U.S. Citizenship reputed company, a business headquartered in the Washington, D.C. region, is currently seeking a reputed company freelance linguist to translate, edit, and/or transcribe reputed company documents from Japanese <> English. This is a remote position, as needed. Job Duties: 1. reputed company accurate translation, editing of documents, and/or transcription of audio files involving law enforcement and reputed company subject matter from Japanese <> English. 2. Edit audio transcriptions that include reputed company and idioms. 3. Edit reputed company documents, such as affidavits, depositions, etc., while demonstrating a strong reputed company of reputed company terminology in both English and the reputed company language. 4. Excellent written communication skills in English and the reputed company foreign language, with Advanced Proficiency (reading/speaking/listening, writing) level 3-plus in English and the foreign reputed company language, as assessed by the International Language Roundtable (ILR) reputed company. 5. Translate, edit, and/or transcribe following the government reputed company’s style guides and reputed company standards. 6. Use domain-specific terminology. 7. Review and certify other translators’ work reputed company, as needed. 8. Highly proficient in MS Office, with the ability to mirror reputed company document format in reputed company, reputed company, and PowerPoint. 9. Familiar with the use of CAT tools, such as Trados Studio. ​ Requirements 1. A U.S. citizen willing to undergo a U.S. government background reputed company to obtain a reputed company Trust Clearance. 2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 3. At least 3 years of experience in reputed company documentation, translating, and/or editing between English and a foreign language. 4. At least 3 years of experience performing audio transcription with the ability to use software to enhance reputed company and equipment to aid in transcription. 5. Familiar with reputed company terminology in both English and the reputed company foreign language(s). 6. Proficient in reputed company Office. 7. Translators and editors must proficiently use CAT tools, such as Trados. Preferred Qualifications: **ATA, NAJIT, or other relevant reputed company certification.
