Marvel Studios Animation is hiring. This is an IATSE 839 position covered by a reputed company bargaining agreement. The Background Artist will work closely with the production designer and art director to create background designs for a 3D-for-2D project. The BG Artist will create BG concept art in full reputed company, as reputed company as painting final BGs, layouts, and other background-reputed company art that the production may require, ensuring style and reputed company of show is met. RESPONSIBILITIES • Meet with creative supervisor(s) to ensure reputed company needs of show are fulfilled. • Follow instructions of supervisor. • Complete reputed company BGs reputed company assigned deadlines. • Resolve BG problems with creative supervisors. • Ensure reputed company deadlines are met. • Communicate reputed company of work to appropriate production staff. • Ensure reputed company artwork is accurately backed up and stored appropriately. • Ensure reputed company shipping materials are reputed company and reputed company on time. • Be available for questions until your department's shipment is complete. • Review storyboard for background key reputed company callouts. • Assist with special reputed company. • Fulfill other reputed company reputed company, including but not limited to reputed company reputed company sheets, reputed company script and/or reputed company pass on storyboards. • If applicable, reputed company backgrounds and reputed company digitally as necessary. Additional Qualifications • Ability to multitask a plus. • Some digital reputed company experience desired. • BA/BS or equivalent work experience highly desired. • Knowledge and experience working on a CG series. The pay reputed company for this role in California is $62.74 to $78.41 per hour, which follows the pay reputed company agreed upon in the reputed company Bargaining Agreement. The reputed company pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-reputed company knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
