Salesforce Administrator
Description:
The Salesforce Administrator owns our Salesforce platform to enable IPC to effectively serve our independent pharmacy customers. This role is ideal for a mid-career admin who enjoys a blend of business analysis, user training & enablement, and strategic system planning as much as hands-on configuration.
Our Salesforce environment powers a range of functions, including customer support in Service Cloud, inside and outside sales teams in Sales Cloud, marketing data flowing from a HubSpot integration, and programmatic departments such as Digital Health that are adapting standard features to their use cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated admin with strong fundamentals to hone their leadership skills, chart platform strategy, and deliver impactful projects to an engaged user base.
While this position is the most senior Salesforce resource at IPC, it’s not a true “solo admin” role: the Salesforce Administrator works closely with other skilled resources, including a manager familiar with architectural best practices, two part-time admins, and power users embedded within each department. If you enjoy building strong relationships with users, mentoring fellow admins, and seeing the results of your efforts pay off quickly, this role may be a great fit.
Essential Functions:
• Serve as the primary system administrator for the Salesforce environment with 70+ users.
• Perform business analysis to scope, refine, and schedule incoming feature requests. Manage priorities against ad hoc requests and occasional bug fixes.
• Deliver enhancements to user-facing features, such as improved Dashboards, automation to pre-populate critical information, and other requests of intermediate complexity.
• Complete all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, creation of reports, and other routine tasks.
• Perform regular internal system audits focused on security and prepare for platform-wide release upgrades.
• Own the Salesforce platform as a strategic leader by, coordinating with VP of Marketing and Member Engagement to scope and deliver high impact projects, such as data model realignments, improved customer engagement logging, and robust pipeline management.
• Taking initiative to monitor data quality, resolve duplicates, and address root causes of data integrity issues such as automation and integration errors.
• Establishing processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities in coordination with management.
• Developing strong working relationships with end users to improve adoption and cultivate a shared sense of platform ownership.
• Aligning on shared governance practices with leaders across functions such as program teams and IT.
• Assisting in user training and growing the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
• Exemplifying our culture of continuous process improvement by proactively identifying opportunities for sales process improvement and understanding and improving process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
• Mentoring part-time admins and power users about Salesforce best practices.

Minimum Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Salesforce Platform Administrator Certification
• Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
• Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
• Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
• Strong data management abilities
• A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
• A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
Preferred Requirements:
• 3 - 5 years’ experience as Salesforce administrator
• Additional certifications such as Salesforce Platform Administrator II Certification (formerly known as Salesforce Advanced Administrator) or Salesforce Business Analyst Certification
• Experience with or interest in learning:
• Basic familiarity with Apex to support our custom territory management and integration with Dynamics 365 in collaboration with IT
• HubSpot’s integration with Salesforce
• Intermediate to expert level Flow skills
• Proven successful prior project management and business analysis experience.
• Comfort with making decisions and building iteratively
• Proficiency working with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with Tableau and HubSpot is a plus.
