Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Service Excellence
- Greet every customer and patient with a warm, professional demeanor, proactively offering assistance and answering questions about products, services, and health‑related concerns.

Pharmacy Operations & Compliance
- Under direct supervision of the pharmacist, use arenaflex pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and medication information, process new prescriptions, and verify dosage accuracy.
- Enter patient and drug data accurately, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and arenaflex’s internal quality standards.
- Assist in counting, pouring, and verifying pharmaceutical products, checking for potential drug interactions and alerting the pharmacist to any discrepancies.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the on‑duty pharmacist and follow arenaflex’s Quality Improvement Program protocols.
- Handle non‑clinical telephone calls, including physician inquiries, prescription refill requests, and third‑party insurance clarifications.
- Process manual claims for third‑party prescription programs, ensuring timely resubmission and accurate documentation.
- Support inventory management: receive, unpack, price, and stock pharmaceutical shipments; file claims for overages, shortages, or damaged goods.
- Maintain strict adherence to arenaflex’s Good Faith Dispensing policies and Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
Store Operations & Visual Merchandising
- Keep counters, shelves, and displays clean, organized, and well‑merchandised; perform regular stock rotation using the FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) method.
- Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sales displays; execute store resets and revisions as directed by management.
- Assist with food‑item separation and placement in accordance with safety policies (e.g., raw meat on bottom shelves).
- Provide photo‑center services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and promotional product suggestions.
- Manage web‑order pick‑up duties: monitor Picture Care Plus orders, retrieve items, and hand them to customers upon arrival.
- Participate in interior and exterior store maintenance to ensure a tidy, welcoming environment.
- Uphold arenaflex’s policies and procedures, fostering respectful relationships with coworkers and managers.
Training, Development & Certification
- Earn and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification through arenaflex‑provided training or state‑required programs.
- Complete required Pharmacy Performance Learning (PPL) modules and continuing education credits to stay current on healthcare trends and pharmacy best practices.
- Attend scheduled training sessions, cross‑training opportunities, and performance reviews to continuously improve skills.
Essential Qualifications
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (required for all locations except Puerto Rico).
