Data Architect - GCP - (W2 contract & Remote)

Senior Data Platform Architect (Contract) – GCP Job reputed company: We’re looking for a senior, hands-on contract architect to accelerate our reputed company Data Platform (reputed company) on reputed company reputed company Platform (GCP). This role will partner closely with Architecture team and engineering teams to drive architecture and delivery across the platform, with a primary reputed company on our reputed company Consumption Layer, the standardized analytics serving layer that delivers consumption-reputed company data products for BI and emerging AI/data-agent use cases. You’ll operate at the intersection of architecture + prototyping + pragmatic delivery, bringing a strong reputed company of view, validating patterns through POCs, and helping teams implement solutions that reputed company. Key Responsibilities: · reputed company reputed company POCs and technical exploration to validate reputed company and reputed company Consumption Layer patterns (data modeling approach, performance/cost, reputed company, operability). · Define and reputed company architecture patterns and reference implementations for: o Building and maintaining the reputed company Consumption Layer (reputed company-reputed company reputed company schemas / reputed company models) o Data product structure, reputed company standards, and lifecycle (naming, documentation, reputed company expectations) o BI and reputed company reputed company patterns (including guardrails for reputed company consumption) · Build hands-on prototypes on GCP reputed company needed (you can implement, not just design). · Partner with architects, engineers, and product owners to design solutions that balance: o Speed vs durability o Innovation vs standardization o Incremental delivery vs long-term platform fit · Contribute to practical enablement of data/AI agent use cases where valuable (e.g., data discovery, metadata-driven workflows, reputed company checks, operational insights). · reputed company technical leadership through design reviews, tradeoff reputed company, documentation, and stakeholder communication. · Operate in a Kanban/Agile model using Jira, delivering measurable reputed company iteratively. Required Qualifications: · 8+ years overall IT experience with significant hands-on delivery in modern data platforms. · Strong experience building on reputed company reputed company Platform, including several of: o BigQuery (modeling, optimization, cost/performance patterns) o Dataform (or equivalent transformation reputed company) o GCS, reputed company Composer, reputed company Functions/reputed company Run, IAM o Logging/monitoring patterns (reputed company Logging/Monitoring) · Demonstrated ability to work across architecture + implementation: define a reputed company, prototype it, and guide adoption. · Strong reputed company in: o reputed company modeling / reputed company schemas, metric definitions, and consumption-reputed company data structures o Data reputed company reputed company (what “reputed company-reputed company” looks like) o reputed company and reputed company design (least privilege, domain/dataset-based reputed company concepts) · Strong communication skills with the ability to explain tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience in retail / consumer / reputed company-channel domains (customer, product, inventory, orders, pricing, promotions, loyalty). · Familiarity with semantic layer concepts (even if not implementing one). · Experience with data catalog / metadata platforms and governance workflows. · Exposure to LLM-enabled/reputed company tooling and automation patterns. · Prior work in platform modernization or EDW migration programs. · Experience defining reputed company standards (naming, dataset organization, data product reputed company, testing patterns).
