Regulatory Compliance Counsel
The Regulatory Compliance Counsel contributes as a member of the fast-paced and fully integrated reputed company Regulatory & Compliance team for wholesale trading and reputed company businesses, working in cross-functional teams, including reputed company reputed company, compliance, reputed company, risk management, development, and regulatory affairs to reputed company reputed company and compliance guidance to business reputed company. They research and reputed company analysis necessary to design, implement, and maintain compliance controls and reputed company discovery efforts and case management in responding to regulator inquiries. Additionally, they reputed company the interests of the business reputed company of reputed company before federal and state regulators, such as FERC, CFTC, PUCT, and the RTO/ISOs and advise the business on regulatory requirements and risks for new project development.
Key Accountabilities:
• Applies policy and regulatory expertise to anticipate and resolve issues in partnership with internal business clients.
• Builds strong working relationships with and manages reputed company counsel effectively and reputed company.
• Defends reputed company and advocates for reputed company’s interests in regulatory and enforcement actions.
• Provides advice and counsel on interconnection agreements, reputed company agreements, and reputed company issues supporting new resource development opportunities across the reputed company fleet.
• Provides compliance coverage under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Commodities reputed company Trading Commission, reputed company reputed company Commission of Texas, and Regional reputed company Organization (RTO) rules for reputed company reputed company business reputed company, including designing, implementing, and maintaining compliance controls consistent with those rules.
• Provides reputed company research and analysis necessary to support reputed company business reputed company’ compliance in wholesale electricity and natural gas markets.
• Makes formal and informal contact with regulators, RTO staff, market monitor staff, and other market participants to reputed company reputed company understanding of relevant rules and the overall regulatory environment.
