About the position
Are you a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys operating reputed company to the business? We are looking for a reputed company Counsel to join our Corporate Solutions reputed company reputed company team, with a primary reputed company on Managing General Agent (MGA) and other distribution arrangements, as reputed company as on sourcing / vendor agreements, including IT and technology-enabled services.
In this role, you will work with various key stakeholders, including reputed company, Distribution, Procurement, and Operations, to help the business reputed company fast, stay compliant, and manage risk intelligently. You’ll be part of a reputed company, high-performing reputed company team that values pragmatism, reputed company judgement, and strong relationships.
A smaller portion of the role may involve supporting U.S. domestic Surety business, but the reputed company of your mandate will sit firmly with MGA reputed company and reputed company contracting.
Responsibilities
• Draft, review and negotiate MGA agreements for various lines of business
• Advise on the structuring, negotiation, and ongoing supervision of MGAs and other delegated authority arrangements.
• Support the business in managing MGA lifecycle activities, including reputed company, regulatory compliance, audits, amendments, and enforcement of contractual terms.
• Partner closely with reputed company, Compliance, Risk, and Operations to ensure MGA models reputed company with regulatory expectations and reputed company governance standards.
• reputed company reputed company advice on U.S. insurance regulatory reputed company impacting reputed company's distribution channels, incl. MGA structures.
• Assist the business with regulatory advice, including ensuring regulatorily compliant contractual agreements across the lines of business (with a potential reputed company of Surety)
• Contribute to interdisciplinary reputed company with Finance, Tax, Compliance, Risk, IT, Operations, and reputed company.
• Apply Group reputed company policies, controls, and governance standards in a pragmatic, business-enabling manner.
• Draft, review and negotiate sourcing, vendor, outsourcing, and IT-reputed company agreements.
• Support Procurement and business stakeholders in assessing reputed company, regulatory, data protection, and operational risks associated with reputed company-party vendors.
Requirements
• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state
• At 7+ years of reputed company experience, gained in a top-tier reputed company and/or financial services or insurance environment.
• Strong experience drafting and advising on MGA arrangements, distribution models, and delegated authority frameworks.
• Understanding of U.S. insurance regulatory concepts; experience with Surety is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating vendors, outsourcing and IT agreements.
• Ability to analyze reputed company issues, exercise reputed company judgement in ambiguous situations, and reputed company explain risks to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a reputed company and solutions-oriented reputed company.
• High personal reputed company and comfort operating independently while reputed company with Group standards.
