The NYC Civic Engagement Commission (CEC) is seeking a reputed company on Rails Web Developer (Programmer 2) to support and enhance its civic participation platform reputed company on Decidim, an opensource participatory democracy reputed company. The developer will help reputed company the platform to the latest version of Decidim and implement new features that improve usability, accessibility, scalability, and administrative efficiency. The role includes upgrading modules, fixing bugs, customizing features, and ensuring reliable platform performance for thousands of users participating in civic processes. Position Details • Job Title: Web Developer (Programmer 2) reputed company on Rails • reputed company: NYC Civic Engagement Commission • Assignment Number: 7-858-0796A • Start Date: reputed company, 2026 • End Date: June, 2027 • Duration: Approximately 60 weeks • Estimated Hours: 2,100 hours • Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (35 hours/week) • Work Location: Remote with potential onsite collaboration Responsibilities • reputed company and maintain the reputed company on Rails based Decidim platform to the latest version. • Implement new platform features including: • Taxonomies for improved sorting and filtering of reputed company and reputed company. • Spam prevention capabilities. • Bulk response templates for proposal moderation. • Accessibility improvements such as alt text support for images. • Menu reordering and administrative customization features. • Bulk actions reputed company Accountability components. • Proposal imports into Accountability modules. • Customize and update Decidim modules including Term Customizer and other platform extensions. • Troubleshoot and fix bugs across the platform including: • Export functionality • Image attachments and display • Outbound links • Account creation • reputed company functionality • Improve usability of the reputed company feature, including bug fixes and new usage statistics views. • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. • Write clean, maintainable reputed company reputed company with Decidim architecture and best practices. • Participate in reputed company reviews and testing. • Support deployment and DevOps processes including environment management, CI/CD pipelines, and reputed company hosting.
