Position Summary:
Manages a team of project managers to ensure their accountable projects are aligned to the corporate operational goals and delivered to the planned scope, schedule, and cost.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategize, implement, and maintain portfolio goals that adhere to the organizational goals of the ANTHC Corporate operations. As appropriate, partner with the Portfolio Manager of Hospital Operations when projects bridge the gap between the organizations.
Develop a culture of learning to ensure lessons from one project are transferred to another project in the portfolio to improve project performance.
Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
Oversee multiple project teams, support the successful execution of business support services projects, and ensure portfolio goals are reached. Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
Oversee a portfolio of projects and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and ensure projects are delivered according to agreed objectives, scope, schedule, and budget
Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
Work with other portfolio managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
Analyze, evaluate, and overcome portfolio risks, and produce portfolio reports for management and stakeholders.
Supports project management standards development and provide training to assigned project managers as needed.
Forecast resource needs for assigned project management staff and secures skilled staff from other resource managers necessary for the portfolio of projects.
Step in to support as lead project manager for critical projects or critical project phases as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Experience in a corporate operation (HR, IT, Finance, etc.) is preferred, if paired with healthcare experience, it becomes highly desired.
Proven leader in project delivery of increasing complexity of projects. Leader with experience managing project management staff.
Knowledge of Project management experience to include the use of standard methodologies on complex projects in a healthcare environment. Projects may include supporting processes and systems in any of the corporate functional areas, such as IT, HR, Finance, etc.
Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, contractors, and internal and external stakeholders.
Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with individuals with wide array of cultural, political, educational, socio-economic, geographic and linguistic backgrounds.
Skill in addressing sensitive issues and situations.
Skill in working with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop the business case and project goals and to define project requirements and scope.
Skill in integrating team members to develop the integrated project plan and to effectively track status against the established plan.
Skill in managing lessons learned from projects and applying to related projects within a program.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, engineering, business, project management or related field. Progressively responsible professional/exempt work experience in all aspects of the planning, design and implementation of highly complex projects may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non-supervisory - Ten (10) years professional work experience managing major projects or working in positions using all the aspects of planning, design and implementation of projects. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.

MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
Four years of additional project management work experience may be substituted for certification/licensure.

Experience in finance, data and analytics, information technology in a healthcare environment (e.g., Electronic Health Records, Hospital Management systems, Healthcare CRM, etc.).
Experience and understanding of corporate business support service operations is preferred, and in a healthcare environment is even better.
