Game Designer for a Gamified Vehicle Incident Reporting App
We are building a peer-to-peer incident reporting app focused first on vehicle-related incidents.
Users can report things like:
• bad parking
• blocked access
• lights left on
• minor damage
• suspicious situations around vehicles
Our hypothesis is simple:
If reporters are highly motivated to report incidents at scale, the app becomes valuable enough to attract vehicle owners to join and receive alerts.
That means gamification is not optional. It is central to the success of the product.
Gamification Goal
We want to design a system that motivates users to:
• report incidents frequently
• come back regularly
• build habits
• compete with others
• feel progression and status
The goal is to create strong engagement loops around reporting behavior.
Gamification Stack
We are using the Rooguy gamification API to power rewards, leaderboards, badges, streaks, and other engagement mechanics because gamification is central to the success of the product. We also secured a high-volume event package early, which makes it a cost-effective and practical choice for building and testing the MVP. However, we are open to alternatives if a major flaw or limitation is identified in Rooguy.
What We Need
We are looking for a game designer / gamification expert who can help define the MVP gamification strategy.
You will help design:
• the core reward loops
• points / coins logic
• badges and milestones
• streak systems
• leaderboard logic
• progression and engagement mechanics
• trust / reputation ideas for high-quality reporters
We want someone who can think beyond surface-level gamification and design a system that truly drives behavior.
Desired Profile
• Proven experience designing gamification systems
• Strong understanding of engagement loops and behavioral design
• Experience with apps, mobile products, or community-driven platforms
• Able to turn product goals into clear game mechanics
• Bonus if you already know Rooguy or similar gamification tools
Deliverables
• clear gamification strategy for the MVP
• reward and progression system
• badges / streaks / leaderboard logic
• practical structure that can be implemented by the developer
• recommendations on how to use Rooguy effectively
