Part-Time Graphic Designer — Food Brands, Logos & Character Design
We’re a small team building and launching consumer food brands with personality. We’re looking for a hands-on graphic designer who can help bring new brands to life visually — logos, characters/mascots, and reusable brand assets used across ads, social, and packaging concepts.
This is not a strategy-only role and not production grunt work. You’ll be designing real brand visuals that actually ship.
• ***What you’ll be doing****
1. Designing brand identities: logos, wordmarks, color systems, and visual foundations
2. Creating character / mascot illustrations (cartoon-style skills are important here)
3. Building reusable design assets (icons, patterns, social templates, packaging elements)
Producing final artwork for:
• Ads
• Organic social
• Packaging comps
• Internal presentations
• Delivering production-ready files (vector + raster) and keeping assets organized so non-designers can actually use them
• Working closely with marketing and copy to translate brand ideas into visuals
• Iterating quickly based on feedback without losing quality
What we’re looking for:
Portfolio required — must show:
• Logo / brand identity work
• Character or illustration work (cartoon style a plus)
• Marketing or social assets
• Strong fundamentals in branding and layout
Comfortable working in:
• Illustrator / Figma (vector)
• Photoshop / Procreate (raster)
• Experience creating templates and asset libraries for teams that aren’t designers
• Reliable, communicative, and comfortable working part-time and remotely
Experience level:
• 2–4+ years freelance or in-house preferred. We care more about your work than your resume.
Nice to have (not required)
• Packaging or CPG experience
• Light motion/animation for social
• Good file handoff habits (naming, organization, versions)
Time & pay
$25–$30/hour, depending on experience
Part-time, flexible hours (project-based)
Potential to grow into more hours or full-time if it’s a great fit
How to apply (important)
Please include:
• A link to your portfolio (required — no portfolio = no response)
• A short note on your experience with logos and character / illustration work
• Your availability and desired hourly rate (within range)
We’re looking for someone practical, creative, and easy to work with — not over-polished agency pitches.
