Litigation Associate Attorney

Tressler LLP is an award-winning law firm with a strong reputation in defense litigation. They are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Chicago office, where the role involves managing various aspects of civil litigation, including drafting legal documents and collaborating with senior attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings, discovery, demurrers, and motions to strike
• Communicating with clients, claims adjusters, and witnesses, providing updates and strategic input
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy
• Assisting in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
• Participating in depositions and court appearances
• Defending clients in civil litigation and arbitration involving personal injury, property damage, medical malpractice, construction, transportation, and product liability matters
• Attending court hearings and mediations both remotely and in-person
• Working closely with senior attorneys to prepare for mediations and settlement conferences

Skills

• Active bar license in Illinois
• 1-4 years of litigation and/or civil litigation experience in either state or federal court
• Experience with trial preparation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills
