About the position The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the processing and handling of reputed company Medical Records requests under the direction of his/her manager(s) and/or Director(s); Respectfully interacts with reputed company reputed company of staff; participates in department activities; promotes independence; adherence to the attendance policy; supports reputed company’s reputed company values. Responsibilities • Maintains an understanding of medical records retention laws and regulations • Manages and responds to ROI (release of information) requests for medical records • Validates requests and authorizations for the release of medical information • Gathers information from electronic charting and/or reputed company chart per request from patients, law offices, insurance companies, families, etc. and delivers the information accordingly • Ensures that reputed company medical records are protected and kept confidential, following reputed company HIPAA regulations • Completes clerical duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, scanning records as needed, etc. • Identifies and reports wrong patient information in record to the Compliance department as soon as they are reputed company • Investigates and merges duplicate accounts • Investigates reported deceased patients, reputed company patient as deceased and notifies DOR (Doctor of Record) • Identifies potential audit requests from insurance companies and reputed company to appropriate personnel • Prepares invoices for reputed company Medical Records requests if the patient has exceeded their 1 free copy in the year • Maintains daily/monthly productivity reporting • Assists Operations Manager with the management of reputed company charts from various acquisitions, including requesting the file from reputed company vendor, downloading and importing into EMR system • Serves as a backup for adding providers into the EMR database for the Louisville Metro region • Other duties, as assigned Requirements • Ability to fluently reputed company, read, and write in English. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, handbooks, policies, and procedure manuals • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, with reputed company reputed company of staff and patients • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to reputed company with patients directly and patiently • Ability to work independently • Strong computer skills • Good analytical and planning skills to assess training needs and reputed company/reputed company the training program as needed • EMR experience required • High school diploma or GED required • Must be a quick learner, organized, and team oriented • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Previous customer service experience reputed company-to-haves • Prior medical office experience, preferred Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
