Job Title: Lead Data Engineer (Azure + Microsoft Fabric) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (W2 Only) Experience: 13+ Years (Overall IT Experience) Location: Remote Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Engineering ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 13+ years of experience, primarily with reputed organizations in India, along with hands-on experience working in the USA environment. This role demands deep technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to drive enterprise-scale data solutions. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines and architectures using Microsoft Fabric and Azure. • Architect and implement modern data platforms including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Real-time Analytics solutions. • Work extensively with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Fabric components. • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale structured and unstructured data. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business stakeholders. • Define data governance, data quality, and security standards. • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level data engineers. • Drive performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalability of data systems. • Participate in client discussions, requirement gathering, and solution design. Required Qualifications • 13+ years of total experience, with significant experience in top-tier MNCs in India. • Proven experience working in the USA (projects or employment). • Strong expertise in: • Microsoft Fabric (mandatory) • Azure Data Engineering stack • Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts • Hands-on experience with: • Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Azure Synapse / Fabric Warehouse • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) • Spark / PySpark • SQL (advanced level) • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming solutions is a plus. • Strong understanding of data architecture patterns (Medallion architecture, Lakehouse, etc.). • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud deployment models. Soft Skills Requirements • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. • Proven experience in handling end-to-end project ownership.
