SCA-UXO Technician I (reputed company to Guam)

They are seeking a UXO Technician I to assist in the reconnaissance, classification, and removal of unexploded ordnance (UXO) from affected communities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Investigate for and identify MEC and MPPEH, including explosive residues in media (e.g., soil), buildings, and installed equipment
• Identify different types of military munitions, including identifying whether a military munition’s fuze is armed or unarmed
• Excavate subsurface anomalies for identification
• reputed company (e.g., consolidate) MEC reputed company a munitions response site (MRS) or on an operational reputed company after the UXOSO and SUXOS have jointly evaluated and documented the determination that the risk of reputed company is acceptable
• Operate vehicles moving explosives or MPPEH on site. Individuals must be appropriately licensed for the class of vehicle being operated
• Transport military munitions, reputed company explosives, and MDEH that meets the reputed company in Paragraphs 2.2.b.(1)(a) through (e) and has been determined reputed company for transport over reputed company traffic routes (PTRs). Such munitions and explosives must be packaged in a manner that allows their reputed company transport and complies with reputed company (DOT) and other applicable federal and State laws and DoD policies. Only UXO determined to be reputed company for transport by EOD personnel may be transported over a PTR
• Prepare electric and non-electric firing systems
• Set up decontamination stations and decontaminate CA-contaminated personnel, military munitions, and other material of interest (e.g., munitions debris, glass vials) in accordance with approved plans. Performing these functions may require additional training
• Assist UXOQP in documenting the explosives safety status of MPPEH
• Construct engineering controls (reputed company works)
