Program Coordinator

STE(A)M Truck is an organization dedicated to delivering high-quality STE(A)M programming for youth and educators. The Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating engaging instruction, managing program logistics, and supporting operational needs to create impactful learning experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging, hands-on STE(A)M instruction using provided curriculum and guidance from Program Managers
  • Support and be present for all assigned programming
  • Create inclusive, engaging learning environments that foster belonging and positive interactions
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and strong setup/breakdown practices at all program sites
  • Participate in ongoing staff development and training opportunities
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organizational and site policies
  • Be available for programming scheduled Monday–Saturday between 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Support Run of Show coordination and execution
  • Conduct quality checks for kitted bins, tools, and materials
  • Assist in staging, setup, and breakdown for engagements and events
  • Support curriculum collateral updates, including adaptations for multi-language learners
  • Maintain organization of Makerspace, Kit Room, and Office
  • Serve as the primary driver for all program deployments, ensuring vehicles arrive on time and ready for programming
  • Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings
  • Actively work to support the achievement of our strategic priorities and proactively communicate with your supervisor on progress toward goals
  • Follow our hybrid schedule guidelines for working hours and requesting compensatory time
  • Maintain common areas such as the Makerspace, Kit Room, and Office, quality check tools and materials for programming following kitting and vehicle packing guidelines, follow processes for file systems (electronic and print), and communicate with supervisor about office supplies, tools, consumable materials, and equipment needs
  • Provide other support as needed, including preparing for meetings and events
  • Support onboarding and training of Engagement Specialists
  • Capture engaging content while on site or in the Maker Space for social media platforms, including testimonials, images, and action videos that align with the nonprofit’s mission and goals and follow our photo and video guidelines
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops for volunteers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles
  • Collaborate with staff to identify volunteer needs and integrate volunteers into program activities
  • Foster relationships with community partners to expand volunteer resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in nonprofit, educational organizations, or STEM-related fields
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values
