UX Writer (Contract | Part-time)

User Research International (URI) is hiring an experienced UX Writer for an enterprise tech client. This is a fully remote, part-time contract (15 hrs/week) for 5 months. You’ll embed with the product team and partner with Design, Research, Product, and Engineering to create clear, user-centered content across mobile and web. Responsibilities: • Write UX copy for product experiences (UI text, microcopy, flows, error messages) • Use research insights and customer data to improve clarity and comprehension • Collaborate on feature flows, naming/terminology, and in-product messaging • Coordinate with engineering and localization to ship accurate content on time • Support AI/ML-powered features with content that’s safe, reliable, and easy to understand Requirements • 8+ years in UX writing/content design/content strategy • Proven experience with AI/ML workflows, internal platforms, and complex system logic (permissions, configs, error states). • Proven experience using AI-assisted coding or low-code tools to "vibe code". • Ability to hold your own in technical reviews and provide crisp, logic-driven specs for developer handoffs. • A track recorded of establishing terminology standards and UX writing heuristics for technical products. • Excellent writing/editing; able to simplify complex concepts Salary • Hourly salary $55-$70 User Research values diversity and seeks to offer a safe, respectful, enjoyable workplace for all people. User Research International provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran/military status.
