Cure is seeking an experienced data journalist to collaborate on white papers and editorial articles. This opportunity is ideal for a journalist who can transform proprietary datasets into clear, compelling narratives, identify the most meaningful insights within complex data, and present those findings through strong writing and effective visual storytelling. This is a contract-based role for several white papers and related articles throughout 2026. Compensation: Contract rate per project or per paper, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities • Analyze proprietary data, identify the most newsworthy and analytically meaningful angles, and develop compelling narratives for a professional audience • Produce data-driven white papers and editorial articles with minimal oversight • Create data visualizations and charts using platforms such as Datawrapper, Flourish, or other visualization tools • Collaborate with Cure’s content and data teams to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment • Conduct supplemental reporting or interviews when needed to contextualize data findings Qualifications • Demonstrated experience in data journalism or data-driven reporting, with a proven ability to write clear, engaging consumer- or business-facing content • Experience working with proprietary datasets or large structured data sources is strongly preferred • Strong ability to analyze datasets and extract meaningful insights that support a narrative • Experience producing data visualizations and charts using tools such as Datawrapper, Flourish, Tableau, or similar platforms • Experience producing white papers, research reports, or analytical long-form articles • Familiarity with scientific, healthcare, biotech, or academic research topics strongly preferred • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work on deadline Applicants must provide: • Portfolio of published work, including data-driven stories or reports • Examples of data visualizations • Samples of white papers or long-form analytical writing Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
