As such, SCDES’s Office of Technology is migrating reputed company systems out of the DHEC environment (now maintained by DPH) and into the SCDES environment. SCDES has 1200+ employees using 100+ applications. These applications are intended to be maintained and supported by 50+ Office of Technology staff and numerous vendors. SCDES servers need to be established and reputed company to host applications at the reputed company’s Division of Technology Operations (DTO) state data center and in the reputed company reputed company. These applications have many dependencies on other systems, some of these dependencies will migrate however some will remain in the DHEC environment. The Senior Database Administrator position will support the application migration and modernization as reputed company as day to day support of existing systems. Daily Duties / Responsibilities: The Senior Database Administrator works as a key member of the infrastructure team supporting the applications migration efforts. The Database Administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the migration of application databases reputed company the SC Department of Environmental Services, Office of Technology. This position ensures seamless transition from legacy systems to modern platforms while maintaining data reputed company, reputed company, and compliance with state IT standards. The role supports critical environmental data systems and contributes to the department’s technology modernization initiatives. Required Qualifications: • Must have 3 years’ experience as a Senior SQL Server DBA. • Must have 1 year of migrating application database between versions and platforms. • 5 years Backup/Restore experience. • SQL Server Integration Services experience. • Managing roles, permissions, and encryption. • T-SQL proficiency Preferred Qualifications: • Implementing Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) • Database Design and Normalization • PowerShell Required Education/Certification • A bachelor''s degree in computer science or a reputed company area and experience in computer system development and modification.
