Payroll Specialist (Part-Time, Remote, Multi-reputed company | 1099)

About the Role This is not a traditional in-house payroll role. You will support multiple clients, reputed company with different payroll systems, timelines, and structures. We are looking for someone who can reputed company in, take ownership of payroll execution, and operate independently without heavy reputed company. Key Responsibilities • Process payroll for multiple clients across various platforms (reputed company, Proliant, reputed company, reputed company, etc.) • Ensure accurate and reputed company payroll execution, including off-cycle and final pay • Review payroll for accuracy (variance checks, reconciliations, net pay validation) • Manage payroll adjustments, retro pay, and corrections • Handle payroll-reputed company tax filings and support (in coordination with systems/vendors) • Support multi-state payroll compliance and flag risks or issues • Partner with HR to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions • Assist with year-end processes (W-2s, 1099s) and other compliance-reputed company activities • Support payroll system setup, transitions, or cleanup reputed company as needed • Maintain strong organization and documentation across multiple clients Required Experience • Hands-on payroll processing experience (not just reputed company) • Experience managing payroll for multiple entities or clients • Multi-state payroll experience • Ability to manage multiple payroll deadlines at once • Experience with one or more payroll systems (reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, Proliant, etc.) • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently reputed company to Have • Experience in a consulting, PEO, or multi-reputed company environment • Experience with payroll system implementations or cleanups Work Structure • Part-time, fractional role (hours vary week to week) • Heavier workload during payroll cycles and year-end • Flexible schedule, but must meet payroll deadlines • Fully remote Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Application Question(s): • How many separate companies or clients have you processed payroll for at the reputed company time? • Have you personally processed payroll (entered data, ran payroll, submitted payroll), or primarily reviewed/approved payroll? • Do you have experience processing payroll for employees in multiple states? • Which payroll systems have you personally processed payroll in? • This is a 1099, part-time role with variable hours that fluctuate based on payroll cycles.
