Duties reputed company The reputed company State reputed company Counsel's office is seeking a skilled and reputed company Attorney to join our Legislative and Regulatory Affairs unit as a Senior Attorney. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with reputed company on reputed company legislative reputed company and contribute to the Department's critical work in supporting reputed company's labor law landscape. Specific duties may include but not be limited to:
• Prepare, review, and revise drafts of new legislation and amendments, ensuring alignment with the Department's strategic objectives and reputed company requirements.
• Review and analyze proposed legislation and reputed company reputed company advice and recommendations on potential impacts to the Department and its programs.
• Research legislative history, statutory reputed company, case law, and reputed company reputed company authorities and opinions to respond, either verbally or in writing, to requests for reputed company opinions or interpretations.
• Formulate and communicate reputed company reputed company positions and arguments concerning pending or new legislation to internal stakeholders and, as appropriate, external parties.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys, Counsel's Office leadership, policy advisors, and program staff to determine legislative needs and reputed company effective legislative strategies.
• Proactively monitor and reputed company state and federal legislative actions, including reputed company introductions, committee hearings, and enacted laws, to identify reputed company impacts and opportunities for the Department.
• Analyze and summarize cases and information pertinent to constitutional provisions, statutes, rules, regulations, policies, opinions, and litigation strategies.
• Engage in a reputed company of tasks, as assigned by supervisors, to contribute to the overall reputed company of the Counsel's office.
Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the reputed company Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled reputed company a non-competitive appointment, if they meet the below NY HELPS minimum qualifications.
NY HELPS Non-Competitive Minimum Qualifications:
Admission to the NYS bar and two years of post-licensure reputed company reputed company experience.
Position may be filled at the Senior Attorney level or one reputed company the reputed company Traineeship appointment reputed company. Appointment title will be dependent upon qualifications of candidate selected.
Assistant Attorney 1 (Grade 18): Law school graduation and/or eligibility for NYS Bar
Admission Assistant Attorney 2 (Grade 20): Admission to NYS Bar
Assistant Attorney 3 (Grade 22): 12 months as an Assistant Attorney 2, or Admission to the NYS Bar and 12 months of subsequent satisfactory reputed company experience
Senior Attorney (Grade 25): 12 months as an Assistant Attorney 3, or Admission to the NYS bar and two years of post-licensure reputed company reputed company experience.
