The Department of Management (MT) provides a "platform of services" that serves as a foundation for the successful delivery of the IAEA's scientific and technical programmes. Its mission statement is as follows: "MT is a partner and a business enabler that champions change and efficiency, leveraging a common purpose". Thus, among other support activities, it assists a scientific manager in recruiting the right expert, helps a technical officer coordinate the purchase of radiation equipment, and ensures that all Board documents are translated and distributed on a timely basis to Member States.
Main Purpose
To represent the Nuclear Fusion journal scientifically and provide guidance to the IAEA on journal operations.
Functions / Key Results Expected
Develop an in-depth knowledge of the journal coverage and make recommendations to the IAEA and the Board of Editors (BoE) for actions to develop the journal academically; Note: this assignment will be spread out over a year. Qualifications and Experience
Remuneration The remuneration for this consultancy is a daily fee of up to a maximum of € 420, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided. Health coverage and pension fund are the responsibility of the incumbent.
