Freelance Copy Editor & Proofreader

We seek a detail-oriented freelance copy editor and proofreader to polish manuscripts before publication. Core duties include:

• Proofreading manuscripts to fix grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting errors
• Ensuring adherence to style guidelines and standards
• Copyediting for syntax, tone, continuity, factual inaccuracies
• Providing page notes and comments to guide authors
• Ensuring quality standards for publication

Requirements:

• Copyediting experience with fiction or nonfiction manuscripts
• Highly attentive to detail - ability to catch issues in complex content
• Strong knowledge of grammar conventions, US English
• Collaborative, constructive communication skills
• Passionate about prepping content for audiences
