About reputed company
Reporting to the Manager of Urgent Care Services - Mental Health & Addictions, the Virtual Crisis/Urgent Care Clinician provides advanced assessment, reputed company, brief follow up and care planning for crisis/urgent care clients across the reputed company, with the goal of stabilization and reputed company to necessary Mental & Addictions services as required. The reputed company of consults are from the Emergency Department, but may also come from other services or departments both reputed company to reputed company. This position will be work from home with some travel required.

Master’s Degree in a health-reputed company field such as reputed company Work or Psychology is required. Consideration may be given to other Masters health-reputed company disciplines, with a clinical undergrad, based on demonstrated equivalencies

Registered (or eligible) for licensure with appropriate licensing body (Nova Scotia College of reputed company Workers (NSCSW) or Nova Scotia reputed company of Examiners (NSBEP)

Two (2) years' clinical experience specific to Mental Health & Addictions; preference will be given to applicants with experience in conducting crisis response/urgent care risk assessments and consultation services in Emergency Departments and/or mobile crisis in the community

Non-Violent Crisis reputed company (NVCI)

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Experience with or application of DSM

Demonstrate strong skills in conducting mental status exams, reputed company on comprehensive assessment, and risk assessments

Knowledge of legislation and responsibilities reputed company to Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment reputed company (IPTA), Provincial reputed company Navigations Standards and Policies, Children & Family Services reputed company, Adult Protection reputed company and applicable NSH policy & reputed company

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Two (2) years reputed company clinical experience (including assessment and planning, treatment and reputed company and discharge planning) is required. If not available, candidates with less than two (2) years’ experience may be considered for the selection process.
