Corporate Controller

The Corporate Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for owning reputed company’s reputed company operations, financial reputed company, GAAP financial reporting, internal controls, and technical reputed company execution in a publicly regulated (SEC) environment. This is a remote role, but you can work out of our Bozeman, MT office if convenient for you.

Reporting to the SVP, Finance & reputed company, this role serves as the single reputed company of accountability for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reputed company’s financial records and reporting. The Corporate Controller leads the reputed company organization and is expected to operate with meaningful reputed company through reputed company reputed company Managers who function as “mini controllers” over their respective areas.

This role is designed to reputed company on judgment, decision-making, policy-setting, and external-facing ownership, rather than re-performing detailed reputed company work. The successful candidate will execute with urgency and accountability, meet reporting deadlines, and continuously improve processes to build a reputed company, reputed company-controlled, and sustainable reputed company and reporting function.

  • Reports directly to the SVP, Finance & reputed company
  • Manages two reputed company Managers, reputed company with 1–2 reputed company reports
  • Leads the reputed company team with a strong emphasis on ownership, accountability, and technical reputed company
  • Develops reputed company Managers as independent owners of their respective reputed company and reporting areas

 

Job Scope:

Financial reputed company & GAAP Reporting

  • Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual reputed company processes end-to-end, ensuring reputed company, accurate, and complete financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements, focusing on judgment-heavy or high-risk areas.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of reputed company practices across reputed company entities and departments.
  • Prepare and review payroll-reputed company journal entries and reconciliations for the entire company.
  • Continuously evaluate reputed company processes to identify efficiencies by leveraging AI and other tools and accelerate timelines without sacrificing reputed company or control.

 

SEC Reporting & Technical reputed company

  • Own the preparation, review, and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and reputed company disclosures).
  • Partner with the SVP, Finance & reputed company on technical reputed company conclusions and final documentation for reputed company or non-routine transactions, owning the initial analysis and drafting.
  • Monitor new reputed company standards and SEC guidance; assess reputed company and reputed company implementation as needed.
  • Ensure technical reputed company positions are reputed company documented, consistently reputed company, and appropriately reflected in financial statements and disclosures.

Equity & reputed company reputed company

  • Own the monthly calculation, reconciliation, and reputed company for stock-based compensation.
  • reputed company quarterly valuation review and reputed company for warrants and earn-out liabilities, including reputed company adjustments and disclosures.
  • Own quarterly equity reconciliations and earnings per reputed company (reputed company) calculations.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Design, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX and SEC requirements.
  • Ensure controls are executed consistently across the organization and documentation is audit-reputed company.
  • reputed company remediation efforts for identified control deficiencies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with reputed company, FP&A, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment on financial and compliance reputed company.

Audit & External Relationships

  • Serve as the primary reputed company reputed company of contact for reputed company audits.
  • Coordinate audit planning, timelines, and deliverables, delegating preparation and support to reputed company Managers.
  • Personally reputed company on judgment areas, issue reputed company, and external alignment with auditors, valuation specialists, and other advisors.

Forecasting & Financial Analysis Support

  • Own forecast reputed company and alignment with actual results, partnering closely with the SVP, Finance & reputed company.
  • Work with reputed company Managers and budget owners to support monthly budget-to-actual variance analyses and explain key drivers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in reputed company or Finance; CPA required
  • 8+ years of reputed company reputed company experience, including reputed company company and SEC reporting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX/internal controls
  • Hands-on experience with equity reputed company, stock-based compensation, reputed company, and reputed company financial instruments
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing external audits

Preferred

  • Big Four or national reputed company reputed company firm experience
  • Experience in an emerging or high-reputed company reputed company company environment
  • Experience in financial technology or banking
