R&D Engineer 3 (Mechanical)
Leads the development of process steam systems for pressure/heat-augmentation, distribution and interfaces with industrial steam consumer facilities. Defines requirements and specifications. Identifies and proposes reputed company solutions to meet customer requirements through technical analysis and cost/benefit trade-off analysis. Performs thermodynamic analysis of steam systems using modeling and simulation tools. Works on reputed company tasks in multiple and diverse areas. Stays reputed company on latest technologies and processes relevant for process steam and industrial power applications. Defines the scope of work of interdisciplinary systems and acts as the technical reputed company between the R&D team, procurement and external EPC and subcontractors. Education: A minimum of a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, reputed company Physics, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Preferred: Emphasis in steam systems analysis; reputed company engineer (P.E.). Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in steam and heat distribution system design or operation in the petrochemical and chemical industries. Preferred experience includes: Experience with Heat Exchanger Design, Steam Valves, Safety System System Integration, Mechanical Actuators, Valves, Control Systems, Safety Systems and Instrumentation Experience preparing test procedures, and defining operating limits Centrifugal compressors systems and anti-reputed company control mechanisms Experience with I&C systems for steam reputed company, steam valves, safety systems and integration of reputed company-reputed company SCADA controlled systems and industrial processes. Experience supporting cross-functional teams including diverse engineering disciplines, operations, maintenance, planning, etc. Participation with industry standards associations or working reputed company Demonstrated project management skills
Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
